Recent Mercury Retro and Eclipse Aftershocks | Crystals that Can Help

Cosmic Energies at Play Once Again
We’re going to talk about recent Mercury retrograde and eclipse aftershocks and crystals that can help. I thought this was a good topic because I’ve been going through some aftershock activity myself. How about you?

So, have you been through the wringer recently? Feeling like you can maybe use an ally on your side for some mood stabilizing to keep you even kilter?

Last eclipse season ended on Aug. 11. Yet it seems to be leaving these rippling shock waves in its wake. I and many other people are in cleanup mode right now. Relationships changing, ending with people, not just people, entities, companies, lots of shakeup going on. Maybe things you totally didn’t expect or things that you had an inkling about.

Then Mercury went direct on August 18th, but we’re still in the post-retro shadow until September 2nd.

I used to not even pay attention to the retro shadow. Big mistake. Lesson learned!

Wrong! This is the first time that I really got a kick in the pants to say, “Uh-uh, no. You’re not in the clear just because you’re in the shadow.”

Also recently, I talked about different cosmic events that are happening that could be contributing to this energetic shift.

I know in listening to others; I’m not alone in this. Many of us are in transition right now with a lot of things. I’ve spoken, like I said, recently about those cosmic energies and how that’s changing us and everything around us, our solar system, Mama Earth and even our crystals!

This is an opportunity to just reset and rebuild things, right? It’s an opportunity not only for change but for growth in the right direction.

Remember to just take a deep breath, put it into perspective. Reassess the situation, make a solid plan, surround myself with the right crystal allies for me at that moment and move forward.

You might find you also need some obstacle breaking. Then put that into place. I have a blog about that too.

Lithium to the Rescue!

Today I’m focusing on lithium-bearing minerals and crystals. Yep… talking about the element, lithium. You’ll find out why in just a sec.

You might also find there’s a scientific reason behind why you might be especially attracted to these lithium bearing crystals right now. We’ll get to that in a bit.

2 reasons for the current high demand of this element:

  • Demand for lithium batteries. You see, lithium holds a large amount of energy potential. It can produce a lot of electrical current relative to its size. That makes it ideal for small batteries. Think about it, where do we use small batteries? In all these devices we’re now all using all the time, right? In all our new technology.
  • Demand for the pharmaceutical industry; to treat various types of different mental conditions like bipolar disorder, different types of psychoses and for general mood balancing. Maybe it’s due to that high electrical energy potential that makes it an ideal mood stabilizer.

My 3 Choices for Most Effective Lithium-Rich Crystals

  • Lithium Quartz
  • This crystal is a very lilac-mauve-y color (caused by inclusions within the quartz of various lithium-rich minerals).

This crystal invites in a calm energy, helps to improve mood, to relieve anxiety, assists with emotional healing, while also quite helpful with general balancing of our mood.

    2. Lepidolite

A lithium-rich mica; the word, “lepidolite” comes from the Greek word “lepidos”, which means scales- referring to its scaly appearance due to flakes of mica. BTW, mica is a type of sheet silicate that forms in distinct layers or sheets… and it’s what’s responsible for lepidolite’s beautiful iridescence, high shine, and translucence. You can visibly see the mica flecks or sheets in most pieces of lepidolite.

[caption id="attachment_21693" align="aligncenter" width="720"] Rob Lavinsky, iRocks.com – CC-BY-SA-3.0 [CC BY-SA 3.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia Commons[/caption]This mineral is also known for aiding with emotional healing, aids in mood balancing, improves mood, relieves anxiety, promotes rest and peaceful sleep. In fact, I keep this piece right by my bedside. And when I was really having trouble sleeping I used to have a lepidolite crystal grid under the bed.

    3. Kunzite

A lithium aluminum silicate, a pink-lilac lithium-rich mineral also known as “spodumene” is known to assist with emotional healing, matters of the heart, relaxing, mental rest and general balancing of moods.

COLLECTION TIP: Lithium demand is really high right now. Pharmaceutical and tech companies are mining lepidolite and kunzite by the literal truckload! Because of that, the prices are high now. And going up. You’ll see this reflected in the cost of kunzite and lepidolite. In fact, the prices are expected to at least double if not quadruple within the next seven years. If you want a collection tip from me from me: Invest and stock up now in lithium quartz, lepidolite, and kunzite. If you’re going to wait, the price is just going to keep going up and up.

    Vibrational Frequencies

These are all, you’ll notice, delicate mauve-ish, lilac colored stones.

That color mirrors their specific vibrational frequencies; their precise energy. Kunzite and lepidolite, actually often grow together and are the two most popular choices for mining lithium ore for the reasons mentioned above.

Now, I do feel there’s a biological reason behind why you’re attracted to certain minerals and gems. When you’re intuitively called to a particular mineral it can actually mean that your body is in need of more of it. Or in need of the elements within it; on a physical/bio-level. Your body is trying any way that it can to attract and entrain you with that vibrational frequency and bring it into your auric field.

If you’d like to explore that topic further I have a blog post here all about that.
Just like lithium can recharge our batteries and our devices, the minerals that contain it can recharge your auric/energetic battery as well.
I hope I’ve given you some crystal choices today to help navigate any sort of chaotic energy shift. If you have some others to recommend or more info on lithium-rich minerals in general, please add to the comments below! I’d love to hear from you.

Won’t you join me in a Crystal Meditation for Peace?

In these current times of conflict & apparent separation…here it is…just for you.

Watch the video so you can see the special little setup I did for you & the crystals I’m working with for our meditation for peace.

You can bookmark this and come back to it & use it whenever you’re feeling the chaos of the world is starting to pull you into Overwhelm City, whenever you need to find peace.

Alternatively you can download the audio version by clicking on this link >>>

DOWNLOAD: Crystal Meditation for Peace mp3.

If you don’t have the specific crystals that I’m working with, not to worry because that’s the whole point…I’m going to work with the crystals and do a little something to share the energy out to you. ♥

But if you do want to do the same meditation with crystals you have at home, you can use:

    • Lepidolite
    • Gem Silica
    • Amazonite

I know Gem Silica’s a really hard one to find. In fact, if you can only find 1 of these crystals, that’s fine. If you can’t find any of them, no worries, I have them for you. 🙂

If you have some lavender essential oil go ahead and grab that, but it’s not necessary…just an added serenity component to get in the zone for meditation.
Crystals for the Meditation for Peace
    Lepidolite
Lepidolite is a wonderful choice for peacefully calming energy.

    Amazonite
Amazonite is known as “the peacemaker“.  Don’t we need that right now?   The peacemaker. Plus it has a beautiful hexagonal crystal structure…working the Sacred Geometry.  Just gorgeous!

[caption id="attachment_10677" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Amazonite (photo credit: Rob Levinsky of irocks.com)[/caption]
    Gem Silica
    Gem Silica is another peacemaker.

The gem silica that I have is really chrysocolla encrusted with clear quartz. Total sparkly-ness.  I think it’s one of the most beautiful crystals in the world.

And I’m also going to burn some lavender essential oil in an aromatherapy diffuser. Any organic brand is fine.
    Let’s Meditate
Take some deep breaths and just get into the relaxed state, alpha brain waves state.

In our meditation I use a copper tetrahedron structure to amplify the energies of the crystals.  (In the video you’ll see the one I had made for doing crystal work, for meditation and sacred geometry work.)

And then send peace, this energy that we’re going to work on together here, out into the world.

So we’re going to get quiet and focus on your breath.

Focus on the peaceful feeling in your heart, and focus on the energy of the crystals.
Focus on your breath, focus on the peace in your heart and focus on the crystals.
Inhale deeply, taking the deepest breath you’ve taken so far today and exhale all the air, sending peace out, radiating it around the planet.

Let the energy of lepidolite, gem silica and the amazonite envelope us.  It envelopes us in this bubble of peace that’s around the whole entire planet.

    A peaceful energy.

Feel this energy in every cell in your body.
Amazonite and gem silica are working together as peacemakers with our energy, with our vibrations.  Lepidolite adds its calming and balancing effect.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sending out gratefulness for the ability to release this peace and to work together with the vibrations.

So much love and light and peaceful energy radiating out from your being.  Connecting with all of us.

    All are one.

    We’re all connected.

We’re connected here together, we’re from all over the planet. And our vibrational waves are meeting up with each other in the ether.

    Isn’t that a peaceful feeling?

I’m so grateful to all of you for joining in this meditation, for being here joining me and all of us.

Now, visualize beaming love and peace from your heart center. Beam it out!

Thank you love beings, that wraps up the meditation.  We’re going to end it there.

    How was that? Nice, huh.

We can really beam this energy around because you know we need it right now, this is all we need to do. We need to send out love and peace.

Stop with the negativity. We’re not focusing on that. We’re focusing on positivity, love, peace from heart center, from us to everyone.

So many blessings of peace going out to you & everyone.  We are the peacemakers, right?

    We are the peacemakers.

Thank you for joining me in sending out peace, love and positivity!  I hope you enjoyed this crystal meditation for peace.

During this meditation, were you able to tap into that peace and love and send it out from your heart?  Send it out to the world?  Please share your experience with me in the comments below.

    Crystal Blessings to you Peacemakers,

    Crystal Q & A: Your Questions Answered!

Hibiscus Moon Crystal Healing, Videos 10 Comments

Hey hey, Crystal Hottie!  Won’t you grab a cozy cuppa gem elixir tea & join me for a Crystal Q&A?

    You asked, I answered!

We’ve got a wide range of sparkly topics covered in this Crystal Q&A session so watch & listen to the video. I’ve also given a summary + you can follow along with more links & glittery details below.   🙂

Before we get started, here’s my…

BORING DISCLAIMER: Crystals are a tool & support and should be part of a sound holistic health plan.  I think you already know that I’m not a doctor & am not giving medical advice. Crystals should be used as a compliment to & not as a replacement for regular medical care & consultations. So in addition to doctors, psychiatrists, therapists and other modalities, crystals can be very helpful.
What crystals would you recommend for children in school?
Some great crystals for children would be Hematite and Black Tourmaline, Amethyst & Rose Quartz. There are many super easy & practical ways to use them & I wrote lot’s more on this in this blog post:  Sparkly Ideas for Using Crystals with Children.

Also, here are some more tips for students of all ages:  Crystals to Help you Study Better, Faster + with Less Stress

What crystals are good for decreasing hyper-activity in a child?
Any light blue stone, like blue calcite or blue lace agate; or amethyst and rose quartz.

They don’t have to wear it, they can just carry it with them.  They could have 1 in their pocket, or put 1 in a small velvet bag that you can find in a metaphysical shop.  Keep in mind, you don’t want to send them out with your best looking crystals b/c they are likely to get pretty banged up with kids, so just know that when you hand them over.  😉

I just love these stones for their soft & gentle energy.  In fact, Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year are Serenity & Rose Quartz, so I gush all about these stones over here: Why Rose Quartz, Blue Calcite & Blue Lace Agate are the New Black.

Do you need to be careful with Lemurian Crystals?  Is the energy really strong?
I don’t feel that you need to be particularly careful w/ lemurian crystals.  It’s not something that’s common; that they’re “too strong”.

However it’s all relative and subjective to YOU. For each individual the experience will be different.

Lemurians are record holders.  They hold ancient information from Lemuria and even Atlantis. They have deep striations on the side that you can feel.  Think of the striations as a kind of bar code.  Information that’s been encoded into the crystal.  The Minas Gerais region in Brazil is the source of true lemurians. They have deep striations that you can feel by rubbing your thumb or finger over the sides. And they hold records.

Lemurians are meant to be used to access that ancient information, ancient records from the past.

As far as it being “too strong” to work with, that’s not a very common complaint.  But like I said that could be different for you. So give it a try.  The only way to know if it is to give it a try; to work with it yourself b/c it’s something you’ll need to personally experience for yourself.

BTW…I also have a blog post here with more info on Lemurian Crystals.
My son has a lot of stress and anger issues…he’s very explosive at times, what would be a good crystal for him?
Lepidolite & aquamarine are 2 crystals that I would recommend.

    [caption id="attachment_10678" align="aligncenter" width="427"] aquamarine[/caption]

    BUT…

the big question is … is he willing to work with the crystals?

It’s a matter of personal will, if he is willing to work with them. We can’t force this on anyone else.  It’s got to be him that’s initiating and is in agreement with this sort of energy work. Give him a selection, let him know what they’re for, what the intention is and let him choose which crystals to work with.  If he’s open to doing it, he’ll pick the crystal(s) that he is being drawn to & that’s a huge part of the equation in what stone will work best for him.
Do you have any experience working with Chlorite?
Yes, Chlorite included quartz!  It’s a very effective healing crystal…great for healing of all kinds.  Plus, it’s also a great crystal that carries the energy and is a vibrational match for prosperity & abundance.

    [caption id="attachment_14252" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Natural Chlorite Quartz[/caption]

I do talk about Chlorite quartz in my super popular FREE Crystal Fakes eBook.  Do you have your own copy?  If not, you can [thrive_2step id='21832']grab it right over here![/thrive_2step]

Do you have crystal suggestions for worry and stress?
Again, amethyst and rose quartz.  Those are both ideal for stress relief. ♥ They seem to great for a lot of different things, huh?

Additionally, here’s my blog post on crystals to help relieve anxiety that might be helpful as well.
How do I safely clean my crystal in matrix without harming it?
I physically clean my quartz crystals with a certain type of acid. But you kind of have to know your crystals well and know the chemistry before you dive in and clean it up w/o causing any harm to it…or to yourself.

Here’s the low-down on How I PHYSICALLY Cleanse my Quartz Crystals. Proceed with CAUTION.
Do you have Crystal Suggestions for Postpartum Depression?

Rose quartz, moonstone, jade & unakite are the 4 stones I recommend for anything pregnancy or fertility related.

I’ve written much more on that topic including suggestions on how to work with that crystal-quad over here:  Crystals for Fertility & Pregnancy

For really deep-seated or lingering depression, I suggest you add in amber or copal.  That sunny crystal combo is well-known for helping peeps bust out of depression.  And I have more tips for navigating depression over here.
Are raw crystals best to work with, or are polished stones just as good?
Great question! Whenever possible I prefer to work with a crystal that is uncut + unpolished because it has a stronger vibrational frequency.  For example, I prefer to work with a natural quartz point rather than a cut & polished one, if quartz is what I need for my crystal healing work.

But say I want to work with selenite…raw selenite is not ideal to work with in a crystal healing session because it splinters off easily, its very friable or brittle. For practical reasons it makes total sense to go with a cut and polished piece, like a polished selenite wand. 🙂

Want to learn more about my take on working with Cut or Polished Stones vs. Natural?  I’ve gone in deep right here.
What are good stones for opening the 3rd eye?
There are many stones I can recommend for this, but one that’s relatively easy to find, is pretty inexpenisve & many of us have in our collections is amethyst.

This Third Eye Crystal Work is such a big topic, & I’ve received so many questions about this over the years that I’ve written a 2 Part blog series on awakening your pineal gland. Check it out:

    • How To Awaken Your Pineal Gland with Crystals ~ Part 1
    • How To Awaken & De-Calcify Your Pineal Gland with Crystals ~ Part 2

In case you’re interested…many of the questions I received here speak to the chemical and geological composition of the crystal along with the metaphysical.  That’s the type of stuff I love to teach all about in my courses Certified Crystal Healer Course as well as in my Advanced Crystal Master Course.

I hope you enjoyed this Crystal Q&A as much as I did & got to learn something new here today.  If you’ve got experiences to share on any of these crystal topics please tell us in the comments below!  I love to hear about your crystal connections.♥

What’s a Good Crystal Mix for your Bedroom?

Hibiscus Moon amethyst, bedroom, book, sleep, Videos 22 Comments

    Hey, Crystal Hottie!

How are you doing today? I have another crystal question to go over today in our video.

I have blogged before about 5 Tips to a Better Night’s Sleep…the Crystal Healing Way but this blog is specifically about a great crystal mix for a bedroom.

Obviously, in your bedroom, unless you’re going the romantic route, that’s another route you can take (I have some suggestions in my Crystal Grids Template Package)… you’re probably looking to bring in calm serene energy, b/c that would be a sacred sleeping space for you.

    You’re going into dream time.

You also want to foster the right sort of energy to recharge your battery

You want it to be a place where you can relax & sleep and have really nice healthy, nurturing dreams.
So here are the  crystals I recommend for bringing relaxing calming energies to your  bedroom:

    1. So, definitely amethyst for one.

If you know how to create a crystal grid, you can put 1 under your bed or beside your bed. (Check out this older vid of our “under the bed grid”:)

If you’re not into grids, you can simply use an amethyst point or you can choose a large amethyst geode, like I have in my bedroom.  That’ll  radiate the nice kind of energy that you want in your bedroom for a relaxing, sanctuary type of retreat space.

This is a large crystal vignette that radiates that type energy into our master bedroom:

    2. Clear quartz is always great for enhancing the energies. If you already have amethyst going on in your bedroom, but you feel it’s too small or just not doing enough, you can  enhance + amp up those energies w/ a clear quartz piece.  I always like to have a few clusters of those in my bedroom.

    3. Rose quartz can add a nice calming energy for slumber. You can have large pieces of rose quartz or you can incorporate smaller pieces into a crystal grid. Rose quartz is something I always have by my bed because it’s just a special companion for me.

    [caption id="attachment_8684" align="aligncenter" width="600"] A large cut & polished rose quartz point.[/caption]

    4. Another crystal you could include is lepidolite.  Partly due to it’s lithium elemental content, it’s very good for calming your mind & encouraging sleep, ushering in good dreams as well. Just what we’re looking for here.

    [caption id="attachment_7398" align="aligncenter" width="597"] lepidolite[/caption]

So that’s a nice mix to have for your bedroom. I have more tips here in an older blog post on crystals specifically for sleep.
    SIDENOTE: Book Review
In the video above, I did a quick book review at the end.

I really liked this one, The Essential Guide to Crystals: Tap into the healing power of crystals by Golnaz Alibagi.

I was really impressed by this book because I always, always gravitate to the books that have some science in it & this one delivered.

It also has great colored pictures of the stones, diagrams & exercises that you can do. It’s organized by sections; one on mind, body & spirit. It’s just one of those books that I think is really good to have in your personal crystal library.

So, what crystals do you have in your Bedroom to create your sacred sanctuary?  Do you also have a Crystal Grid?

I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

    Crystal Blessings!
