Giving You Permission to Hate My Guts!

You may not like me… and that’s OK.

certification standard

As long as you learned something valuable from me, I’m totally OK with you not liking me… or even hating my guts!

I got used to that as a classroom science teacher. In fact, I’d sometimes hear a pissed off student call me a flurry of colorful names after refusing to change a grade. Then I’d pretend I didn’t hear it (to avoid having to discipline them in yet another way) and have to hide my face behind my grade book while I was snickering and praying they didn’t catch me in the act. Not snicker in an evil cackle-ish kind of way but in my hard-to-stifle immature sort of way that I have… that part of me that commiserates with a teenager’s angst over her or his “STUPID-ASS SCIENCE TEACHER”! I would totally vibe with them and get it.

BUT I STILL WASN’T GONNA BUDGE ON THAT GRADE, BABE!

Students hating me (at first) because they thought I was “too hard” but then later actually thanking me because I pushed them harder and they rose to the challenge… were better for it when they went […]

Do you have the RIGHT STUFF to be a Crystal Healer? | It’s Not for Everybody

Do you wonder if you have the “right stuffs” to be a crystal healer?

I mean this world of being a crystal healer or energy worker…it’s not meant for everyone.

(I decided here to revamp an old popular blog post on this subject & make it even better. Let’s do this thing!)

Right Stuff Crystal Healer.FI

And I don’t mean that you must have an innate special talent…b/c in my course I teach that we aren’t some kind of special people, that we simply act as facilitators for others to heal themselves.

So what do I mean by the “right stuff”?

Do you have a good handle or control over your emotions, over checking yourself before you react to something you perceive as negative?

If you fly off the handle often, you may not be ready to go out there & be a teacher, a healer, spread light. I feel that you need to remember to be in heart center as much as you possibly can in order to benefit others in the best way possible. You must be able to leave your baggage at the door when facilitating for others.

I was recently reminded […]

Are you cut out to do this work?

Are you cut out to do this work?

To be an energy therapist, a light worker, a crystal healer?

Every now & again I like to do a post like this so people know what sort of traits make for the most successful practitioners. After years of receiving, giving, teaching & certifying others to do this important work & watching those who are successful at it, I think I have a pretty good idea.

I also want to make sure that we attract the right kind of student here at the HMCA. I love you all…but we’re not all cut out to do this work & some people have different expectations.

  • I know that many get intimidated thinking “Who am I to be healing anyone?” Here at the HMCA, we realize & teach that we can all heal each other & that healing is a 2-way street…both the facilitator & the “heal-ee” exchange & receive healing energy. Heck, if we waited for all the healers to be PERFECT before they did any “healing” for anyone else….we’d all be waiting a LONG FREAKIN’ TIME!Crystal healing

The MacGyver Approach to Crystal Healing

Teenagers sure are funny.

I miss teaching them science in the classroom. It was so amusing to me that they had discovered older 80’s shows on Netflix that my generation used to enjoy; Walker, Texas Ranger, Magnum PI & MacGyver to name a few. And they would often come to me in the very hands-on, unconventional classroom that I ran, wanting to try to “MacGyver” something up.

Of course, I always encouraged it (as long as it didn’t involve blowing something up!) So off they went with duct tape & paper clips seeing what they could cobble together. Hysterical!!

Years later, this “MacGyver” term has seeped its way firmly into our everyday vocab:

From the Urban Dictionary:

MacGyver (verb): v. 1. To use ingenuity to fix or remedy a problem using only the tools available at hand. 2. To jury-rig

Many of you have asked me this question on my Facebook page;

“Why can’t I just teach myself all this crystal healing stuff with books or the info available online?”

So, you want to MacGyver it up?

MacGyver Approach

My answer?

Nothing’s stopping you. You can totally do that! Many have…including me. 🙂

Maybe you feel you can do a great job gathering […]
