Mermaid Inspiration Galore

Thanks to both Sage Moonstone’s Hocus Pocus blog and Little Faerie Tales’ blog , I have been inspired in a big way!

After reading these two posts a fire was lit under me that touched my mermaid desires. Let me explain a bit. I have had a mermaid motif for my master bedroom bath in mind for some time to go along with my beachy theme in the bedroom, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it exactly. I had this website bookmarked for things to buy and make and had my eye on this Mermaid sign for about 18 months. Then I read the 2 posts mentioned above and everything clicked together…not to mention that Little Faerie Tales had the same exact mermaid graphic in her post! At that moment I placed the order for the sign and set off to the craft store to buy the materials. Here is the finished shell garland that I was making in an earlier post. This video shows my bedroom and bath with 2 projects inspired by those 2 extremely creative and talented women. Their projects are much prettier but I think mine didn’t turn out too far off the mark and they make me so happy to just look at them: a tissue box and a little treasure chest. They inspire me to get more creative, do more projects, go in new directions, so I am really truly grateful to both ladies and their blogs.

  1. That looks so great and I love Stevie in the background ; ) The sign is gorgeous and what a work you have had with the tissuebox and the treasure chest, they are so beautiful !!!!

  2. That looks marvelous! I think it’s so important to have your own space where you can relax and just get rid of any negative energy you’ve picked up during the day. Your room looks like a place of rest, well done 🙂

  3. And this is my space to unwind. I loooooove being in my bedroom. However, if it were up to me, the TV would not be in our bedroom. That would be DH’s doing.
