Is There Science Behind the Gemstones You’re Attracted To?

Is there a scientific reason you’re attracted to certain Minerals and Gems? Consider that!

Let’s get this out-of-the-way first: THE BORING DISCLAIMER – I think you already know that I’m not a doctor & am not giving medical advice. I feel crystals should be used as a compliment to a sound holistic health plan & not as a replacement for regular medical and/or psychological care & consultation. Please check with a doctor first before applying any advice given here.

So, is there a reason? I think I may have found one.

In this livestream, I go over my theory on this…

It’s interesting to think about right?

I’ve been interested in bio-hacking for as far back as I can remember.

This is something new I’ve come up with, that I’ve been playing with and I’m super excited to share it with YOU.  Now, remember, I’m just telling you what I’m doing and a different way of approaching minerals and gemstones. As I already stated, I’m not a doctor. 😉  This is simply something I’ve been trying out for myself and talking to others about and I do think I may be on to something here.

On the path towards greater overall well-being today, I want to talk about mineral testing; a technique to find out what works for you and your body, what you may be deficient or sufficient in.

All crystals are minerals, so every single crystal that you look at is a mineral.  It’s just grown in a visible crystal form when you are looking at crystals.

I’ve been working with this easy mineral testing kit and it got me to thinking about the crystals and gemstones we’re drawn to most.

I feel it’s good to take a look at where you are, to see where your body is at and calibrate what minerals you may be deficient in and what minerals you’re not. This mineral testing kit is a simple way to do that.  It comes with all the instructions too. Here’s a link for the Liquid Mineral Testing Kit  🙂

There are 8 different minerals in the kit.  A few examples of what’s included are tests for:

  • Potassium
  • Copper
  • Manganese
  • Chromium

In the video, I show you a couple of examples of testing in action.  One example is for testing the mineral copper.  Now, when I went through the process of testing with copper, it tasted sweet to me.  Which, as the kit will tell you, means that I need more of that in my body.  So my body is craving it. In the testing process, “sweet-tasting” means that you need that mineral, that you are very deficient in that mineral and your body is signaling that it wants some.

And lo and behold, wouldn’t you know it… I’ve been highly attracted to copper-bearing crystals for some time now: azurite, gem silica…. AJOITE

Just a bit of my ajoite collection!

My Theory

See where I’m going with this theory here?

To sum up…

  • When your body likes it, it means it needs more of it.
  • When it doesn’t like it, your body doesn’t need it.

So, I’m thinking that your body is trying any way that it can to attract and entrain you with that vibrational frequency that it’s in need of most. By directing you to be attracted to that mineral in various ways. Even if that means getting that mineral into your auric field by you keeping it physically in your environment, close by. 🙂

Doesn’t that make total sense?

Of course, what your body needs may change with time and fluctuate so you have to keep checking, but very simplified; it’s what you are drawn to most that you need.

Now, I need to take a look at my diet and see where I can supplement those minerals of course, but also I can look to my crystals and see … am I drawn mainly to those crystals that contain that mineral? Of course, this doesn’t mean I’m ONLY going to be drawn to those crystals that contain minerals I’m deficient in but I do feel it’s an important piece of the puzzle!

You can use this method to experiment with yourself, observe and take note… see if there is a correlation between the minerals you need and the crystals you’re drawn to.  Is there a connection?

I’m excited to expand my experimentation with this and plan to dive deeper and expand more on this in my Certified Crystal Healer Course!

Alright Crystal Hottie,  I hope you’re as excited as I am to have found this correlation.  I’d love to hear your take on this: Do you think you’re drawn to crystals that contain minerals you may be deficient in?  Please share in the comments below.

Crystal Blessings,

Hibiscus Moon

  1. As I watched the video, I realized that your theory was correlating something that I had already experienced! And with that experience I had come to a similar idea as yours. A few years ago, I had an inexplicable MEGA attraction to cobalt blue, in any form! On plates, glass, clothing…anything! I tried to surround myself with anything of that color. Awhile later, I had a totally unexpected emotional crash, which led to a lot of blood testing, and one thing they discovered was that my B12 levels were in the dumpster… I began to supplement with B12 vitamins, large doses of both cyanacobalamin and methycobalamin (both forms of COBALT)…after doing a lot of research on my condition, I began to wonder if my body had been trying to tell me all along what it needed…in fact, I’m convinced of it! I still love cobalt blue, but not in the ‘ravenous, I MUST have it, my heart is sick for it’ way. So, I definitely believe you’re on to something! 🙂👍

    1. Loved your video. It was very interesting and makes a whole lot of sense. Our bodies are always trying to tell us something, we just have to learn how to listen. This is one way of listening to our bodies and learning what our bodies are wanting and/or need. Thank you so much for your information. I look forward to your next video.

  2. Holy Schnkikeys this is awesome!!! I’m currently beginning to search for the right nutritionist/doctor to work with to heal a lot of God and hormonal issues so I haven’t had any testing yet But how cool would it be if I did this first and then compared notes especially with the Crystal aspect. . It’s not financially viable for me now but good to know for the future!
PS I love you! You make me remember how I really liked chemistry in high school and now it makes total sense… the elements… hello mother earth? I thought it just meant there was a hidden part of me that was a science geek LOL.

  3. Using crystal vibrations to improve your internal mineral balance is an interesting idea. I like the subtle manipulation crystals have on the body.. But be careful with those mineral supplements. I was a nurse (before being hit by a car), and I feel compelled to warn you that a small overdose of some of these minerals can make you very sick. It can even cause dementia like symptoms. Many of the over-the-counter supplements deliver several times over the daily requirements in a single dose (and some of them expect you to take it several times a day). If you are taking mineral supplements, you may want to talk to your doctor about checking the mineral/electrolyte levels in your blood periodically. Personally, I’ll stick to a good fresh food diet and enjoying the gentle energies of my crystals.

Want to see some serious dietary changes in your body? Save your life and cut out the soy! Yes, I said it. No soy. Studies show that soy is an endocrine disruptor, inhibiting your body’s natural ability to absorb and utilize the trace vitamins and minerals in your diet.

Crystals look better in the sunlight than on your plate. Eat naturally, exercise, and fondle your crystals. It’s a beautiful world.

  4. I love this. This is exactly what I believe, too, however have not yet gotten around to any actual research or studies on the principle. We are all made from the same energy, there is nothing new in the universe nor can there ever be (energy/matter never disappears, it just changes form) however we are each individual so it makes sense to think that we each come into the world made up of different energy forms & combinations. I believe there is a cure or a support for our bodies, minds and souls in all that surrounds us, we are just yet to find the correct combination of energy (by energy I mean any type of matter whether that be man-made medicine or mother earth’s natural therapy) for each person’s individual state/issue/disease. The earth seems like a great place to start looking considering that she’s nourished us with air, food and shelter since the dawn of humanity.

    Love your work x

  5. This is a thought that has been with me for the past couple years, but I was working on my BA and lacked the research time so I am excited you’re looking into this! My background comes from a medical assistant working with hematology & oncology turned mental health case manager. Plus I’ve taken both your CCH & ACM classes. I’ve had chronic anemia for most of my life and was working with bloodstone awhile back when hematology background had me pondering along the same lines: deficiencies, elevated levels, molecular transference/absorption maybe when holding a crystal? I want to study kinesiology next and research crystals impacting muscular strength and health.

  6. This makes perfect sense to me. I have had what is called “Muscle testing” before with good results. I am convinced our auric fields together with the body will let us know what is needed. I am planning on picking up the mineral testing kit asap. What came to me though while reading was how important it is to educate myself on what our crystal friends are made of. I am strongly drawn to learn about mineral formation. Can you recommend some good beginner level reading on the subject?
