You can probably recall, as a child, being asked what it was you wanted to be when you grew up. Maybe you had that 1 thing that you wanted to be or maybe half a dozen or more answers rolled off your tongue in reply, the possibilities seemed endless!!
We’re all born with gifts & natural abilities, though as we grow & begin to move through adulthood, these gifts, talents & abilities, get narrower, become limited, are harder to access.
I decided to write this post b/c I often ask on my Facebook page if you’re living your life’s purpose, whether it be related to crystals or otherwise. I often see many responding that they don’t know what their life purpose is. They don’t know what they’re supposed to be doing.
You might not believe you have a special gift, but you do! In fact, it might seem like everyone around you knows what they’re good at, is following their passion, but you’re stuck, working a job you don’t enjoy or that leaves little time for anything else.
The good news is, there are always ways to find & then honor & cultivate the gifts you have.
I think we’ve all experienced being in a rut before or just floundering, not knowing what we’re here on Mama Earth to do. It’s that seemingly endless cycle of mundane tasks that we feel we must do, where you might be going through the motions but not fully engaging with your life. Maybe you are waiting for your situation to change, maybe you simply don’t know what to do to change your situation. Getting stuck in a rut can feel frustrating, it can feel like it’s permanent, but it’s not. You only have to commit yourself to working your way out of it, and eventually, you will. And finding your life’s purpose is the key.
3 Tips on How to Find Your Life’s Purpose
1. The first tip to working yourself out of any situation like this is to acknowledge & accept it. You are not going to be able to do anything about your situation if you don’t 1st admit that there’s something you’d like to change. OK, now that that’s out of the way…

2. The next thing to do is figure out what makes you HAPPY! What makes your soul sing? Doing that…that’s usually your life’s purpose right there! If you don’t know what makes you happy then start trying many different things. Even things that you didn’t think you’d like. Just go do something to bust out of the boredom and open up new ways of being to yourself,. You may discover your unique gift, talent or ability only when you’re thrown into an unexpected situation! However you come about to realizing your gift, know that it is something that deserves your honor.
You deserve to know what living on this Mama Earth is all about.

3. The next step is to accept that this might take a little time, but you will realize your life’s purpose. It’s easy to want instant gratification, to expect that just because we’ve realized we’re in a rut that we’re instantaneously going to be out of it, but often these things happen gradually.
A rut is a pattern, a habit, and just like it takes time to pick up a habit, it also takes time to break one.
Sometimes our gifts are not initially what we want them to be. This might be a difficult pill to swallow…say, you feel very strongly about painting but are not a very good painter. This isn’t to say you can’t go after that dream, but you may find yourself getting really frustrated. So let’s say you’re interested in painting & you’ve enjoyed it for a long time. But you begin to notice that people are constantly telling you that you have such good insight & are so easy to talk to. People find it easier to talk to you than others in their life. Just by being someone whom others seek out, you’re using your gift & helping others while you do so. So perhaps, being a life coach is your gift. If the thought of doing that makes your soul sing then you’ve found it; your life’s purpose.

It can be easy to overlook your own unique gifts when they might not align with what you think they should be. Your gift is something you can give to those around you & is in total alignment with your soul–it is your purpose in this lifetime.
