Are there crystals that never need cleansing?

I LOVE this topic. It’s a good one. It keeps coming up b/c there are some popular crystal books that state that certain crystals just never need to be “cleansed” or re-tuned (my preferred word for it).

First, before we get into it…let me just say…if it works for you; keep on TRUCKIN’! Don’t let what I say here change your mind. See what your intuition tells you.

I feel that all crystals need to be re-tuned from time to time.

I hear this “no cleansing thing” most often about:

  • selenite
  • kyanite
  • citrine

Again, I feel that there are no crystals or stones that do not require any cleansing.

Hi, I’m Selenite. Do I never need to be cleansed?

Here’s an old vid where I pondered this very question…
Do All Crystals Need to Be Cleansed?

I come at it from a physics point of view. What’s new?

Crystals have a very precise vibratory rate due to their precise molecular structure (that’s what makes a crystal a crystal). However just as an overplayed piano needs to be retuned from time to time, at some point the frequencies will probably need to be readjusted if they have been used frequently; just like any other crystal.

I also feel these vibratory frequencies do readjust themselves naturally on their own…given enough time.

I also got into this topic here…
How Do You Know When to Cleanse Your Crystals?

I’m just saying…there’s nothing molecularly different about selenite or the others that would not allow their energies to entrain with other energies at some point & need their dominant oscillary rates slightly readjusted.

This is a natural citrine with a classic point shape and light tea color.

So. Why would these specific crystals (selenite, kyanite or citrine) be any different from any other crystal? There is nothing drastically molecularly different about them that sets them apart.

Some say its b/c certain crystals have the power to transmute negative energy. OK. It’s well-accepted that Black Tourmaline does the best job at this, yet no one ever says it doesn’t need to be “cleansed”.

Why not?

Citrine is quartz with some iron & heating. So is amethyst. Yet, people don’t say the no-cleansing thing about amethyst. Again…why not? What makes citrine so special that it would never need to be cleansed?

To my knowledge this “no cleansing thing” did not come from the ancient teachings. I believe it’s a relatively new phenom. So it’s one of those things that makes you go “Hmmmm.”

I’m just opening this up for discussion. So please join in below! Tell us your thoughts on this so we can all share in the crystalline knowledge.

Which Chakra needs Balancing, Part 2 of our Chakra Series

Hibiscus Moon chakras, cleansing, energy work 2 Comments

After reading Part 1 of our Chakra Series last week, you’re next question may have been:

How do I know which chakra needs balancing?

Well, there are several ways. :)

There are actually 4 main ways that I teach about…
1. Take a chakra test
There are several different ones online. You can do an a search & turn up many! And they’re quite reliable. Here are a few you can try out right now:

  • chakra test 1
  • chakra test 2
  • chakra test 3

2.  Glaring, physical or emotional issues
Here are some simple examples…

Like I mentioned in part 1, feeling anxious tells us there’s an issue with the root chakra.

If somebody has their creativity totally shut down that’s all about the sacral chakra.

If somebody has a very low self-esteem that’s solar plexus chakra energy.

Issues with love, expressing love, showing love, being very clingy in their romantic relationships or any kind of relationships; that would be heart chakra issues.

Not being able to express themselves or not being a good listener, that’s throat chakra stuffs.

Not being open to your intuition or your spirituality, closing that down…that’s third eye shcist, Jelly Bean.

Not having a good connection to source energy, being fearful with death that would be crown chakra.
3. Energy sensing
In my Certified Crystal Healer Course, I teach various ways you can learn & use to sense energy. And by doing this  type of sensing, you can determine if a chakra is overactive, underactive, needs some slight re-tuning or is in balance.

*Wish those energy-sensing methods were something I could include in a blog post but it’s a bit involved, requires lots of background knowledge & some demonstrations, precautions + practice time.

I brought my clear quartz pendant to Sedona & we used it to sense the energy of chakras while we meditated at the vortexes!!! This is a friend of ours checking on Frank’s crown chakra.
4. Tap into your intuition
This means you get an inner knowing from various senses & picking up messages & measurements regarding the chakra energies.  There are various ways to get an inner sense of the energy of each chakra. Some people have the gift of different types of clair-senses:

Here’s a quick list (some of these can fit into each other & some say there are even more than these):

  • Clairaudience – receive messages in the form of an audio; sound, speaking, vocalizations
  • Clairempathy – receive messages in the form of feelings
  • Clairsentience – an inner knowing that comes from within
  • Clairvoyance – receive messages in the form of visual pictures, sights

Some people can also do a meditation and get intuitive hints or messages regarding the chakras.
Chakra Balancing Combo Time!
If you’re not too confident or you’re getting mixed signals or it just doesn’t seem to clear to you…then I recommend using 2 or 3 of the above suggested methods to get a chakra consensus. If you get 2 contradictory results then try a 3rd method & go with the majority. 😉

You’ll find that over time & with practice your abilities to figure out which chakras are out of balance will get better & quite keen. You may even “just know” without needing to check.

So that’s part 2. Part 3 will be about exactly what to do with the crystals to help balance our chakras.

I hope you’re enjoying this series so far. Thanks so much, as always, for reading, sharing & joining in!

Q&A: Cleansing Pyrite

Hibiscus Moon cleansing 6 Comments

This is a really practical question I received recently about cleansing pyrite specifically & think its a great 1 to share:

What’s the best method to cleanse pyrite?  I wouldn’t want to do a salt bath on it, so I’m supposing sound?

You don’t want to go with water on any iron-containing stones (like pyrite) b/c you’ll cause them to rust. No bueno.

So, yep, I’d say sound. In fact, this is my favorite method for re-tuning crystals now & the most practical, IMHO.

Check it out!

Q&A: Chakra Stone Set

Hibiscus Moon chakras, Crystal Healer, Crystal Healing, Crystals, energy work, Uncategorized 8 Comments

Today’s post is about putting together a chakra stone set. You can put 1 together relatively inexpensively if you know what stones to go for.

Here’s a question that I recently received:

  • I’m putting together my chakra stone set & am curious if it’s best to use the same style/shape stone for the set? For example should they all be tumbled? Or can they be a mix of tumbled & points?
  • Also, when buying a pendulum, which stone is best? Should we use our intuition or is there one stone that is best for healing?
For your chakra set, it really won’t matter. Get what you can get. Natural is always best but sometimes you just can’t find them in that particular stone. If you have an easy choice though, always go natural! That being said, here’s an example set I usually recommend to all my students:

The stones pictured above are very easy to find & are inexpensice. I usually like to have a choice of 2 stones for each chakra on hand except for the crown here…no specific reason for that:

    • Root chakra (red): red jasper + hematite
    • Sacral chakra (orange but represented here by the brown bag): orange calcite & carnelian
    • Solar plexus chakra (yellow but represented here by the camel bag): citrine & tiger’s eye
    • Heart chakra (green): rose quartz & green aventurine
    • Throat chakra (blue): blue lace agate & sodalite
    • Third Eye chakra (indigo): amethyst & lepidolite
    • Crown chakra (white or light lilac but represented here by the black bag): clear quartz
    • I also have an amethyst pendulum pictured here for sensing energies & balancing each chakra (we teach how to do that in our course)

As for the pendulum, you don’t need amethyst…get what’s calling to you most. Yep, that’s what will work best for you!
