crystals for emf

First…

THE BORING DISCLAIMER: I think you already know that I’m not a doctor & am not giving medical advice. I feel crystals should be used as a compliment to a sound holistic health plan & not as a replacement for regular medical and/or psychological care & consultation. Please check with a doctor first before applying any advise given here.

Second…

This is an updated & revamped version of a classic blog post. So much new info has come out around this subject that I had to include it & update here. Hope you find it useful! ♥

OK, have you noticed over the last few years people have become much more concerned with EMF (electromagnetic frequency) radiation & now a new possible threat; nuclear radiation in the atmosphere? AKA, EM Pollution.

We’re hearing more & more about cell phone radiation and how that can be harmful to our health. (Thank goodness the word is finally getting out about that!)

Some symptoms of excess EMF radiation are:

  • fatigue
  • joint & muscle pain
  • decreased attention span
  • memory loss
  • difficulty focusing
  • insomnia

BTW, these are the same symptoms of being un-grounded…of feeling Yuck & Stuck!
I feel there’s no such thing as coincidence & that this is directly due to too much EMF in our environments causing us to become un-grounded.
Crystals to Ward off EMF
In my Certified Crystal Healer Courses we discuss specific crystals & protocols for counteracting EMF pollution. Crystals you don’t want to use are any sort of silicate crystals: quartz, lepidolite, opal, etc.

Why? Well, for the simple reason that they easily slide into resonance with electronics & microwave radiation. That property is why silicon (what silicates & quartz [silicon dioxide] are made of) is so widely used in technology! It’s an excellent semi-conductor of energy.

Some ask me what sort of stones they can place around their computers and laptops to help protect them from any radiation coming from there. I feel the best stones to use for this sort of EMF protection are ferromagnetic (iron containing) stones such as:

  • lodestone/magnetite (these are essentially the same mineral, but lodestone is found naturally magnetized while magnetite is not)
  • hematite
  • pyrite

WARNING: be certain not to have any strongly magnetic stones near your laptop or other devices = can cause LAPTOP DEATH due to hard-drive being erased.

2 More Non-Ferromagnetic Minerals Ideal for This

  • Black tourmaline – (even though it’s a silicate). The reason I throw this stone into the hat is b/c it’s got just the right combo of elements & it has the added yin-benefit of having iron in it. Black tourmaline is known for its ability to transmute energy & due to it having piezoelectric as well as pyroelectric properties too. (You can check out those 2 blog posts if you want to really get geeky with this).
  • Another recent favorite for EMF protection is shungite (You can find out why in that blog post).
  • [caption id="attachment_11684" align="aligncenter" width="600"] These are 2 shungite pieces from my crystal grid that surrounds my wifi router.[/caption]

Now! Here’s the KICKER that I’ve discovered!! Most of these are the same exact stones many cultures teach to use to ground ourselves!!! Again, no flippin’ coincidence. Don’t you just love when the ancient knowledge & the new revelations dovetail together like that? ♥

Here are all my fav EMF-Curb-Kickin’ stones together…

    Other tips + techniques:

    • Make a lodestone (magnetic) pendulum, spin it through your EMF to strengthen weak areas (one of our Hibiscus Moon Advanced Crystal Masters has created one of these for us & sells them in her shop!)
    • Protect yourself from so much cell phone use. In this blog post I talk about a receiver device that will do just that. Children should not use cell phones due to their higher susceptibility, reduce your own cell phone use & use a land line whenever possible
    • Place Kernite or Colemanite crystals in any low dose nuclear radiation environment to absorb; these crystals are Boron-based, thereby accepting & ionizing radiation
    [caption id="attachment_1941" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Kernite[/caption]

    [caption id="attachment_19172" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Colemanite[/caption]
    • Unplug your bedroom as much as possible (listen to Warren’s recording below for how’s & why’s)
    • Reduce or eliminate your use of wireless internet (you can put it on a timer so at least part of the time it’s not radiating throughout your house, physical body & auric field).

Healing Magnesium Crystal Bath for EMF Detox
Not only is this bath great for de-toxing excess EMF build up but this bath is super-relaxing.

Magnesium is a magical mineral that increases serotonin in our systems which creates calm relaxation in us. This bath is perfect for use after radiation exposure of any sort (going through TSA, x-ray screenings, etc.) or even too much time on your mobile device or computer.

I adapted the original recipe of this bath from the book Zapped (linked below). DISCLAIMER: (Children, pregnant women & anyone with chronic illness should avoid this bath or consult with their doctor first re: high water temp.)

    • 1 lb. Himalayan sea salt (can sub regular sea salt)
    • 1 lb. baking soda
    • 1-2 tablespoons of ionic Magnesium Concentrated trace minerals (stress from EMF & radiation pollution drains magnesium & increases adrenaline)
    • tub of very hot water (hot as you can stand)
    • 1 tumbled stone each of serpentine & rhodonite (magnesium containing minerals safe for plopping into your bath)

Now just soak in the tub until it cools. Then after your bath, don’t dry off or shower off right away. You can choose to rub down with some magnesium oil or if you’re going to bed you can rub some on the bottom of your feet. You want to allow the minerals to soak into your skin.

If you’d like to learn more about residual static build-up, wireless EMF, radioactivity & how to lower your risk and avoid EMF exposure around your house here’s a great recording of an interview with Vicki Warren, the past executive director of the Institute for Bau-Biologie & Ecology. Here she talks about all of these things & gives excellent advice on examining your home for EMF dangers! Awesome stuffs.

I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. Truly eye-opening! Be informed & get protected:

I don’t like to fear monger but I feel so much of this info is under-reported and so easily remedied. I think its good to get this info out there from time to time & remind ourselves to clean up our energy + get grounded & balance.

If you have other tips or ideas, please share. We’d love to hear them here! And if you found this post useful or helpful, please share it with others. ♥

How to Ground using Crystals + Other Tips & Techniques

Hibiscus Moon earthing, grounding, health 14 Comments

BORING DISCLAIMER: I think you already know that I’m not a doctor & am not giving medical advice. Crystals should be used as a compliment to & not as a replacement for regular medical care & consultations. Let me also disclose that this is a link-rich post. I have lots of good resources here to refer you to. ALL of the products that I recommend are products that I have personally used & HIGHLY recommend. Some of the links below are affiliate links that will earn me a commission if you purchase through them, but you can certainly purchase through a different link. Just wanted you to know that I wouldn’t have them here if I didn’t totally believe in them.

Some of us struggle to stay grounded, to stay connected, balanced & centered.  Sometimes you just feel like a total space cadet.

I find I get un-grounded when I’m at an event around a lot of people if I know the focus is on me…b/c I’m an introvert. Or when I’m overloaded with work.

There are many ways to ground yourself. Here in this blog post, I’ll share what works for me. 🙂

CAUTION: In my experience though, you sometimes need to be careful to not to OVERDO the grounding. As in everything, we’re looking for balance. Doing too much grounding can possibly have a negative impact on some, making them feel too “low” & “heavy”…sometimes even depressed. But only you can determine what is best for you.

I teach several grounding techniques in my Certified Crystal Healer Courses and some that are specifically tailored for professional crystal healing sessions…to keep the therapist well-protected.
Why do we need to be grounded at all?

I whole-heartedly believe that in order to physically manifest what you want here on the physical plane, you must be solidly grounded. This isn’t necessary  “all of the time”, nor is it recommended. Hey, sometimes, being ungrounded is exactly what’s needed. But being able to re-establish that grounding when needed is key.

It’s also part of your energetic hygiene, b/c when you’re not grounded…that’s when your electromagnetic field (aka your aura) can become vulnerable and even “rip”, “tear” or “leak” your energy…or allow energetic cords to become attached.
    Physical Symptoms of Being Un-Grounded

If you have 2 or more of the below symptoms, you may be currently ungrounded.; the more symptoms, the more un-grounded you may be. (BTW these same symptoms manifest when we’re exposed to too much EMF radiation and/or have various types of auto-immune diseases…chicken or the egg scenario? Just sayin’)

    • varying levels of depression
    • decreased dopamine levels
    • increased levels of adrenaline & cortisol (no bueno!)
    • undisciplined
    • fatigue
    • leg cramps or restless legs
    • headaches or migraines
    • muscle pain
    • insomnia
    • disorganized
    • unfocused & decreased attention span, cannot finish projects or see anything through
    • low stamina

Grounding is a standard & important safety procedure among electricians. With both electrical wiring as well as with our own electromagnetic fields (auras), grounding creates a direct physical connection to our planet!
This is CRITICAL, b/c Mama Earth acts as a reservoir of charges & can neutralize any excess electrical current or energy.

Grounding literally dissipates excess energy to the ground. When our homes + appliances are grounded (to a lightning rod) it protects us from shocks, shorts & interference. You can verify that with any electrician you know!

When you’re properly grounded you have a neutral charge, meaning your energy is balanced. Plus, when we’re well-grounded it’s also beneficial to us for self-protection; it helps keeps our energy focused & un-scattered.
My Go-To Grounding Stones + Mineral Treatments
One thing I like to do personally is to increase my magnesium uptake both internally as well as externally.

Immersing your body in ionic minerals, such as magnesium, will allow you to ground by picking up any excess charge. I do things like take ionic magnesium concentrate (taken internally; about 8 drops/day), magnesium bath salts or even magnesium oils (to rub on the skin or to bathe in).

I also really love to use ferromagnetic (aka iron-containing) stones as they are very effective grounders.

Remember that we have high amounts of iron in our blood which harmonizes more easily with the humongous iron core crystal at the center of our planet…yes, the very planet we’re trying to ground with…there’s a freakin’ big hexagonal iron crystal hanging out below our feet, hotter than the sun & about the size of Texas!!

***I don’t know about you but I think that’s some pretty cool shizzle!***

Good to know, right? B/c working with ferromagnetic crystals allows us to more easily entrain with the grounded energy of Earth.
A few great stones to choose from:

    • lodestone
    • hematite
    • pyrite
    • black tourmaline

    Earthing
In order to stay ground & balanced, another great thing to do is have skin-to-Earth contact, picking up the earth’s natural plethora of negative ions.

Because most of us are almost always in shoes, your feet don’t get to touch the Earth & pick up the negative ions that our great planet provides aplenty. Really all you need to do to ground is walk around barefoot on the Earth(I recommend doing this as much as possible).

And if you’re in a cold climate & don’t want your feet frozen to the ground, you can always go hug a tree with your bare hands. Yep! That makes the same sort of grounding circuit with the Earth.

If you wanna learn more about grounding with Mama Earth’s energy (Earthing), there’s a whole book about this that I highly recommend:

    Weighted Blanket Technique
Have you heard of the weighted blanket phenomenon? It’s a safe & effective non-drug therapy known to help those with insomnia, sensory processing disorder, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, anxiety and so much more.

“Historically, Native Americans and other indigenous tribes from around the world automatically wrapped their babies snuggly in a swaddle or cradle board to ease fussiness.” stated by Tori Boucher, an autism spectrum counselor. You can check out more info on the weighted blanket technique here.

But I want to take this idea a step further specifically for grounding!

You may be familiar with the BioMat and the BioMat amethyst & black tourmaline pillow. Well…the pillow’s crystals are actually encased in a special removable quilted cover that zips off & can be used as a mini-weighted AMETHYST + BLACK TOURMALINE blanket placed over various areas of the body!! Yeah, I know~~!

Specifically for grounding, I’ve placed it over or under the legs or feet, whichever feels the most comfy. Doesn’t get any more grounding than that, huh?

I’ve been telling my Crystal Healing students about this BioMat technique for years & all who try it, tell me they love it. ♥
    Grounding Gem Elixir Oil
For days when I feel a little extra grounding is in order I have my Grounding Gem Elixir Oil that I can use in a number of different ways. I can diffuse it in a space with an oil burner or diffuser, I can wear it as a perfume or I can anoint my stones & meditation altar objects. I even just like looking at it b/c its just so damn sparkly pretty!

So let me give you the recipe for this special stuffs.

BTW, I didn’t measure on this…I just added random drops of different ingredients until I liked it. We’re not baking cookies here so feel free to play with it. 😉  I  recommend that all essential oils listed should be organic, fair-trade & sustainably harvested whenever possible.

    • jojoba oil as the carrier oil base
    • several drops of magnesium oil
    • several drops of juniper berry essential oil
    • cedar wood essential oil
    • clove bud essential oil
    • patchouli essential oil
    • 3 whole cloves
    • gemstone chips of red garnet, hematite, black onyx or black tourmaline

This oil has a very comforting & calming energy while connecting us solidly to Mama Earth.  It’s potent stuffs & it smells soooo good!

So tell me Sparkly One…do you practice grounding techniques on a regular basis?  Do you work with the crystals only? Or a combo of Earthing tools?  Did you try any of my techniques listed above? Please tell me what you do to ground & balance in the comments below.

How to tell the Difference between Black Onyx, Jet, Apache Tear, Black Tourmaline & Black Obsidian

Hibiscus Moon Crystals, grounding, protection 52 Comments

A common question I get from my students in my Certified Crystal Healer Course is:
How to tell the difference between our many shiny black tumbled stones.
There are several common ones that all polish up pretty shiny, making it almost impossible to tell them apart; both physically & sometimes even energetically.

But there are slight differences & I’m going to tell you what to look for right here.

I’m going to focus on the 5 most common ones:

    • Jet
    • Obsidian
    • Apache Tear
    • Onyx
    • Black Tourmaline

As most black stones usually are, all 5 of these are considered to generally be energetically grounding, protective & usually resonating well with either the Earth Star Chakra or Root Chakra

Now let’s get into the subtle differences…

    Non-Mineral Stuffs
    I’ve divided the stones into 2 sub-groups of “non-mineral” & “mineral”.

The non-minerals, although usually lumped in with the rest of the crystals, are not technically minerals, b/c they don’t have 1 very important aspect that all minerals must have: a crystalline atomic matrix, a repeating geometric pattern among their atoms.
    Jet
Jet is not a crystal/mineral…it lacks a crystalline structure. Why? B/c it originates from a once living thing; a tree.  So it’s organic & not a mineral at all.  It’s actually considered to be coal & forms when pieces of wood from a tree get buried in sediment and get “coalified”. This is a process that took place a looooong time ago; we’re talking literal Jurassic Period here.

[caption id="attachment_18763" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Raw Jet – By Geni (Photo by user:geni) [GFDL (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html) or CC BY-SA 4.0-3.0-2.5-2.0-1.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0-3.0-2.5-2.0-1.0)], via Wikimedia Commons[/caption]Under a microscope you can actually see the old tree’s cell walls! Pretty cool.

B/c of this cell-wall kind of structure it’s very lightweight & that’s one of your clues when comparing it to their black stones. Pick it up & compare its weight in your hands. It almost feels like plastic, it’s so light.

Although it’s usually pretty dull in its raw form, it can be polished up to a high luster & be quite shiny (as you can see in my above picture where its shown compared to other black stones). Another tell-tale clue is that jet can sort of look a bit dark-silvery-metallic (sort of like a really dark hematite).

Energetically, jet is known to be safely grounding + purifying while also being protective…in a gentle, non-forceful way.
    Black Obsidian
Obsidian, another non-mineral, is a volcanic glass, born literally of forceful fiery energy.

Birthed in a volcanic eruption when molten lava spews up from a volcano, obsidian flies out & then cools quickly once it touches the cooler land or much cooler water, sometimes forming teeny bubbles within…and cooling much too quickly for its atoms to arrange themselves in the necessary crystalline atomic structure to qualify as a mineral. This makes it a glass & not a crystal.

So your clue here is that all obsidian (not just the black variety) will be very smooth, shiny & glassy-looking.

If you’re looking at a rough natural piece as in my above photo (where I’m comparing all of these black stones), you’ll notice that obsidian usually has a conchoidal fracture: a geeky-geo-term for a curved break off point when the obsidian gets chipped away.

Can you see that conchoidal fracture in the below pic?

[caption id="attachment_18764" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Rough Obsidian – By Ji-Elle (Own work) [CC BY-SA 3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia Commons[/caption]If you’re comparing obsidian to onyx (2 that are quite often confused), obsidian will be the lighter weight of the 2 b/c it’s less dense than onyx (due to the lack of crystalline structure & interior air bubbles) and can even be translucent in spots if you hold it up to the light…something really hard to capture in a photo for me…but I tried in the below photo. See how the sunlight can shine through it & you can even see some layering on the bottom right?

Remember that obsidian is volcanic glass so it has a direct fiery energy to it. Perhaps due to how it originates, I feel it’s not gentle in its ways at all. Generally, it’s a pretty powerful stone.

CAUTION: If you feel that you’re very emotionally fragile or vulnerable, I recommend you try another stone choice instead.

Now this may not be true for everyone, so it’s not a blanket statement.
You really need to work with it yourself to know EXACTLY how it will affect you.
Obsidian is great for quick & powerful grounding, cleansing away deep or stubborn negative feelings & when you need POWERFUL psychic protection. Again, I do caution people to only use it when you need a really powerful punch & not to work with it for too long…unless you already know that you can work with it safely with no adverse effects.
    Apache Tear
Apache Tear is really a sub-group or type of obsidian; essentially the same stone, both made of volcanic glass and black in color. However, Apache Tears are black obsidian that formed by being thrown up into the air giving them a much less glassy & more rough appearance.

[caption id="attachment_18765" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Apache Tear – By Simon Eugster –Simon 20:06, 14 April 2006 (UTC) (Own work) [GFDL (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html), CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/) or CC BY-SA 2.5-2.0-1.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5-2.0-1.0)], via Wikimedia Commons[/caption]Whereas black obsidian is known to be a very powerful stone, Apache Tears are gentler in their energy & good for less forceful emotional cleansing like working through grief… b/c it’s much lighter & gentler in its energy it’s great for emotional clearing while also being grounding & protective.
The Inorganic Stuffs – True Minerals
These next stones are the real-deal minerals. All minerals have a crystalline structure at the atomic level where their atoms are stacked in a precise repeating geometric pattern. So these guys are more stable & can more efficiently influence your energetic field.
    Onyx
When you hold a piece of onyx, one thing you’ll note is the density & “weighti-ness” of it. Between 2 similar sized pieces of onyx & obsidian…which can look very similar, the onyx will be heavier b/c it has an actual crystalline structure, whereas obsidian does not…with its random molecules & air bubbles.

Onyx tends to have a slightly duller finish, but can polish up to be quite glassy! So don’t rely on that alone. Onyx may also have some banding & white-ish or grey-ish spots, but usually no translucency.

[caption id="attachment_18766" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Onyx – By Simon Eugster –Simon 14:41, 11 April 2006 (UTC) (Own work) [GFDL (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html), CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/) or CC BY-SA 2.5-2.0-1.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5-2.0-1.0)], via Wikimedia Commons[/caption]Onyx, being a true mineral, does indeed have that crystalline structure at the atomic level. Why? Well, it had the time to form one, growing slowly underground, as crystals do.

Onyx’ energy for me, while protective is more about grounding & strengthening. It’s also wonderful for boosting your willpower & discipline
    Black Tourmaline
Black tourmaline is a fav of mine & 1 of the crystals I use in my sacred grounding trio.

In it’s natural form (as seen below), black tourmaline is hard to confuse with the others I’ve listed here.

But when it’s tumbled it can be hard to pick out b/c it polishes up relatively well…but usually not perfectly & that’s how I usually tell it from the others. You’ll often see some divots & possibly some rust from its iron content too.

Energetically, black tourmaline is a go-to negativity neutralizer for me. B/c it has piezoelectric & pyroelectric proprieties it’s able to transduce energy quite effectively! If you’re looking for a great crystal for protection & purification that isn’t too intense…this is the one.

    So there you are.

I hope you find this info to a be a helpful resource that you’ll be able to refer back to when needed!

Can you tell the difference now?  Do you have these stones in your crystal collection and now you know how to identify them on the fly? Talk to me in the Comments below! I’d love to hear about your favorite black crystal. 🙂

Drawing Inspiration from your Crystal Healing Practice

Hibiscus Moon Crystal Healing, energy work, grounding, health 9 Comments

    Hi Crystal Hottie!

I have a special treat for you today! Remember when we used to do those Crystal Healer Interviews here on my blog? I very rarely accept guest posts, but from time to time I like to bust out of that model & invite some inspiring Crystal Workers into my space.

I know many of you soooo enjoyed hearing from others who are also passionate about using crystal therapy everyday. It fuels us to keep doing more of what we’re doing, right? And then go out & share it with the world. 🙂

Well, the Crystal Healer Interviews are back! I have a few lovely Hibiscus Moon Certified Crystal Healers who’ve decided to step out here on my blog & let you into their gorgeous glitter-filled worlds.

I’m so happy to introduce you to Hibiscus Moon Advanced Crystal Master Angie Yingst of AngieYingst.com. I am so blessed to work with Angie as she is also part of our Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy Faculty as one of our beloved Crystal Coaches.

It’s a true honor to share her here with you.

Angie shares with us how she continues to draws inspiration from her crystal healing practice among many other motivational tid-bits.

    Ready? Here’s Angie’s interview…

    ♥♥♥
What brought you to the world of Crystal Healing?
My sister and I would lay stones on the chakras in a completely intuitive way during Reiki sessions with each other.

Then Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy started showing up everywhere I went on the internet, plus I subscribed to the newsletter. Even in day-to-day life, people would randomly say things like, “I’m drinking hibiscus tea under the full moon.” I realized I needed to take the path unfurling in front of me.
What is your most favorite crystal in the world and why?
That is like asking which is my favorite child! I love the dark grounding stones, particularly love garnet and black tourmaline.

    [caption id="attachment_17483" align="aligncenter" width="600"] a large almandine garnet[/caption]

I think grounding is the key to all spiritual work from psychic work and meditation to dealing with bad drivers and temper tantrums.
What is something new that you’ve learned about crystals that you didn’t know before you took the course?

The science behind why crystals work remains the most important aspect of taking the coursework.

And not just science in one class, but throughout the coursework in the Certified Crystal Healer coursework, and the Advanced Crystal Master coursework. We are given examples, studies, links, books, more articles, and it just helps me volumes in my day-to-day client work. I am incredibly passionate about that part of crystal healing. Working as a Crystal Coach for HMCA students helps me stay in that mindset of the science behind what we do.
What do others in your life think about the path you’re on?
My husband works in the medical field, and could not be more supportive.

I believe medicine is moving toward a more integrated approach rather than split into two factions. Allopathic medicine and complementary medicine can work hand-in-hand for one amazing path of healing.
What do you think made the biggest difference to you on this path?
Realizing that I am not special nor am I capable of “healing” anyone.

My job is to raise someone’s vibration so they can do their work more easily or begin that process of energetic alignment with their intention.

I pray before every session that the person on my table receives the healing for their Highest Good. Then I do what I was trained to do as an Advanced Crystal Master and a Reiki Master/Teacher. I am simply a channel for healing energy.

I place stones quietly, perform Reiki without making it about me, practice meditation so that my mind can be a blank slate when I’m entering the auric field of my client, and introduce crystals in a way that empowers my clients and students. These are all part of that larger humility we need to accept when working as healers.
How do you navigate being a crystal healer and a mama/teacher, etc. on a daily basis?
I blend them together quite naturally–

    • mother
    • writer
    • artist
    • crystal healer

In meditation the other night, I just kept hearing: “You are the Mother” and I saw myself holding my babies, then working on the client in session, nurturing their soul into their next spiritual incarnation. Then painting, and birthing art from conception to finished piece.
What is the primary way you utilize crystals in your practice?
I lay stones on the body. I also teach crystal workshops each month on a topic of interest–this month is Intuition, next month is Empowerment–and my co-teacher Kate and I talk about ways to use crystals around this topic. They are really incredibly powerful classes.

We also teach day-long workshops on crystals. In those classes, we make gem water, create grids, lay stones on the body, meditate with crystals, and discuss crystal healing.

I also do distant crystal healing sessions.

From where do you draw inspiration in your crystal practice?
    Everywhere.

I am constantly studying, learning from my colleagues in groups online, Facebook, and through crystal healers I admire, like Hibiscus Moon and Naisha Ahsian…and researching.

I have grown in my practice, and find that information comes to me in session that I integrate and learn more about on my downtime. I also take classes that interest me, knowing that I can incorporate it into my practice, if I resonate with it. I do not limit myself to one modality, and see my gift as being able to take these disparate ideas and bring them together for my clients.

What 3 energy-work or spirituality books are you loving right now?
I am reading Shamanic Reiki by Llyn Roberts, which is so powerful and reads so true to me.

I’m rereading the Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life by Drunvalo Melchizidek.

And right now, I keep revisiting the book Crystalline Illumination: The Way of the Five Bodies by Katrina Raphaell. I have been incorporating her techniques and ideas into my sessions and my clients move mountains after the vibration we raise.

Do you have any advice for anyone who is considering this path?
Know yourself and do your own spiritual work. That is the first thing I can recommend.

Go see healers, psychics, shamans, vibrational healers, energy workers, and pay attention to what works for you and what isn’t working. Ask questions. Find mentors and teachers, and take classes. Follow the path that unfurls in front of you without pushing. I always wanted to be a medium, but it is not my gift. I would have been miserable doing that anyway.

Be the healer whom you would want to see.

Angie’s Bio:   Angie  is an Advanced Crystal Master, Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, Tarot Reader, Writer, and Sacred Artist.
