The Amethyst Latte that Broke the Internet

Hibiscus Moon Gem Elixirs 11 Comments

So, I posted THIS on FB…

and Instagram recently

& we just about broke the Internet!

Everyone was shouting: RECIPE!

And I promised it was coming to the blog… so, finally here we are!

I had been playing around with creating my own version of the now famous Amethyst Latte from the Brooklyn Cafe; The End and came up with what I think is an even healthier, tastier more energetically-charged recipe that you can easily do in your own kitchen. 😀
Gem Elixir
First, you’ll need to make your all important amethyst gem elixir. Amethyst Gem Elixir is good for inviting in purification, protection, spiritual bliss & a deeper connection with your intuitive & higher self.

You can be very no-frills about it and simply plop a clean amethyst stone into a glass container of clean filtered water and let it sit in your refrigerator overnight (or for at least a few hours).

OR…

You can be very ceremonial about this and pull out all the stops:

  • use only glass in anything that touches it
  • maybe charge it up in the sun to give it extra pranic energy between the hours of peak sunlight in your area
  • surround it with quartz points to amplify it
  • apply intentional words and/or phrases to the outside of it a la Dr. Emoto… as I did here.

(If you really want to get nitty-gritty with this stuffs I teach all about it in my Certified Crystal Healer Course).

You’ll note I decided to further charge this latte up with “Ananda” energy, which is the Sanskrit word for “bliss”.
The Magical Recipe ~ Amethyst Latte
Ingredients you’ll need (all organic whenever possible):

  • 2 cup hibiscus (high in vit. C) or raspberry (antioxidant & high in ellagic acid) tea made with 1 cup Ananda Amethyst Gem Elixir and 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp macqui powder (antioxidant super food made from the macqui berry)
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil (endless list of benefits)
  • 1 Tbsp maca powder (hormone balancer, energy boosting)
  • 1 Tbsp liquid crystal silica (yes… like drinking your quartz crystals)
  • 1 tsp locally harvested honey
  • 1/4 tsp red beet extract with spirulina mix (boosts cell voltage, antioxidant)
  • 3 drops of colloidal silver (divine feminine, healing, immune boosting)
  • sprinkle a few pinches of maqui berry powder and the red beet extract/spirulina mix (oh my! this stuffs is the most lusciously intense purpley- third eye indigo color you’ve EVER seen!) on top for the garnish. **More on the purple-sparkly bits below.**

This recipe is for one hefty sized amethyst latte. You can double the amounts given for 2 generous servings.
Put it all together
First, make your gem elixir tea then put all your ingredients together in a tall container b/c the next step will make quite a mess if your container is not tall.

Next, you want to put a nice froth on this latte. And this is how… you can use an easy, practical, inexpensive milk frother like mine. I love this thing!!

PLEASE NOTE: There are many more benefits to the list of ingredients than what I listed above. I just wanted to keep it concise & wasn’t sure how deep you’d want to go with that. Please do your own research if you’d like to know more. You’ll be amazed!
As amazing as it looks, this latte is one of the healthiest loving things you’ll do for your body.
And it tastes FABULOSO!!! Yep, tastes even better than it looks… if you can believe that!

Alright… here’s the thing on that purple rock candy stick. I KNEW if I plopped that into the pic it would really rock everyone’s world because: PURPLE ROCK FREAKING CANDY! And I was spot on b/c when I posted this on Instagram it went bonkers.

But… I didn’t eat that stuff. Admittedly, it was just for the photo.

HOWEVER! You can make a healthier version of crystalized rock candy using organic maple syrup and coloring it with a mix of macqui powder & beet/spirulina mix instead of chemical food coloring. I think that would be a great project idea for kids and if I was still teaching in the classroom, guess what I would be doing with my teenage science students tomorrow?!

That’s right: I challenge you to figure out how to grow some healthy crystal rock candy in the lab today! Of course, I’d throw in a healthy dose of critical thinking questions their way too.

OK, so I hope you try this recipe and PLEASE!!!… if you do, post it up on social media and use #HibiscusMoon so we can find it. I’d love to see & share your version of this sparkly creation. ♥

Purple Crystal Blessings!

Super Blast Energizing Crystal Combo

Hibiscus Moon Crystals, Gem Elixirs, Videos 12 Comments

Let’s talk about a great Energizing Crystal Combo!

Here I’m sharing this perfect little energizing crystal combination b/c it seems like a lot of us, including myself, could use a boost of energy.  A nice little energy shot.

In fact, if you’re into crystals, (which you probably are right?!) you likely have these crystals readily accessible, Crystal Hottie…and if you don’t, you can get this combo pretty easily.
Super Blast Energizing Wake-up Call Combo
1.  Carnelian

Carnelian is bright orange, an invigorating color and very easy to find.

It’s in the quartz family & a safe stone to use, very common and relatively low-cost; an energizing crystal to work with.

I’ve got a whole luscious post about Carnelian (+ a FREE gift) over here!!
2.  Citrine
Another crystal that’s easy to get a hold of and so great for energizing is citrine.

It doesn’t need to be a natural citrine like the I show you in my video & in the photo below.  That’s an all-natural dark citrine point from the Congo.

You might be more acquainted with citrine that looks like this.

That will work too.

This type of citrine is actually baked amethyst but it still works with the light frequency energy of citrine.  You can learn more about that in my classic blog post about citrine over here.

You can tell the difference because the baked citrine is usually in the geo form of a drusy.  It’s also dark, dark, like dark iced tea & maybe orange as opposed to natural citrine which can be almost smokey, but always retains that yellow hue.
Pow!  There you have it, your go to energizing crystal combo:   Citrine and Carnelian. I’m tellin’ you…it doesn’t get any easier than this.

Now we’re going to add some more vibrational energies. Ya Ready?

Essential oils

I often have some aromatherapy essential oils warming in my oil diffuser and I love to pair essential oils with this crystal combination to really amp up the energy.

***I don’t promote any one single brand of essential oils as long as they are Fair Trade, Organic (if possible) and 100% pure.  Just no synthetics, thank you very much.***
Peppermint
Peppermint essential oil is good for waking up the senses.

It works wonderfully well with the vibrational frequency of citrine + carnelian.
Lemon
Add a little lemon oil and this combination is ready to give you a big boost; ushering in lots of healthy energy.
Smoothie Goodness
In the above video I also had a green gem-ed out smoothie. Here’s the recipe for that I mentioned. It’s not particularly energizing per se, but it’s especially yummy & healthy…which always helps with energy eventually.

I whipped up some:

  • banana
  • frozen black cherries
  • kale
  • silica gel
  • quartz gem elixir

I hope you enjoy this Energizing Crystal Combo and that you try some of these additional tips to superblast the combo.

Do you have Citrine & Carnelian? Peppermint & Lemon essential oils?  Give it a try & let me know. Does it boost you up?  Share with me in the comments below.

Hibiscus Gem Elixir Iced Tea for Immune Boosting & Energy!

Hibiscus Moon Gem Elixirs 2 Comments

Let’s brew up some Hibiscus Vitamin C Immune Boosting Gem Elixir Iced Tea!

Click to watch my video here…

I was making some Hibiscus Gem Elixir Iced Tea and I knew I had to film it & share it with all of you!

Although it looks like Kool-Aid, this drink is bright red due to a lot of dried hibiscus flowers.

I get my hibiscus flowers and many of the ingredients I used here from Earth Shift Products.

This isn’t a product endorsement or anything like that.  In the video above I show you different brands for different things included in this recipe…but a lot of my stuff I do get from Earth Shift because they follow many of the same philosophies as I do.  I always prefer Fair Trade & Organic & they strive for that too.
Iced Tea Super Powers?
Vitamin C:  This tea is rich in Vitamin C.  Super high vitamin C, so that is where the immune boosting is coming from, from those hibiscus flowers.

Gem Elixir: We’re also adding a gem elixir, particularly a citrine gem elixir in this tea for good mood & feel good energy. I’ve got that going in my tea-to-go glass thermos that you guys are always asking me about (and I will tell you more about in the video).

Mood Booster:  Besides immune boosting, this Iced Tea is a good mood booster. 🙂 If you’re dealing with depression, or you happen to know anybody dealing with depression…or if you just have the blah’s or the blues, this is a great tea to drink for that.

Hibiscus Gem Elixir Iced Tea Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of dried Hibiscus Flowers.
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered ginger
  • 8 drops of magnesium concentrate w/ trace minerals
  • 4 tablespoons of silica gel
  • 1 pitcher full of citrine gem elixir or about 8 cups of water
  • 1 or 2 citrine or quartz crystals
  • 2 organic lemons
  • healthy sweetener to taste (raw organic honey or agave)
  • Some sort of strainer

*Credit Given:  I modified this recipe from a recipe from Earth Shift’s products, on their website and I changed it around a bit to make it my own.*
Magnesium
The Magnesium Concentrate is not something you’re just going to find everywhere. Again, I get mine here.

This adds more minerals to the tea, especially if you have non-mineralized water.  A lot of people who have reverse osmosis water systems, that don’t re-mineralize the water…that is not living water so you want to re-mineralize it.  Or if you drink distilled water (which is better than tap water) this is a good option to re-mineralize your water.

We need magnesium in a form that we can assimilate and take in. You might take magnesium supplements,  but this is even better than taking magnesium supplements because it is prepared in a way that is readily available & absorbable by your body!
Silica
Silica is the same thing as a liquified quartz crystal; silicon dioxide. Yep, drinking our crystals. 😉  Research has found that many of us suffer from silica deficiencies! I usually take one tablespoon of silica per day.  It’s really great for:

  • re-energizing
  • re-mineralizing
  • cartilage & support for joint protection
  • connective tissues
  • hair
  • skin
  • nails
  • + restructuring your cell walls because those are partly made of silica

A couple of things you might notice in the video…I have some stickers that say different things on my bottle & my water pitcher which is for restructuring and energizing the water with the vibration frequencies of what I want from this, what I’m manifesting or intending to bring about.

My thermos says “awake and ready”.  This is a la Dr. Emoto.  If you follow his teachings, the late Dr. Emoto taught about restructuring and energizing your water with messages.  On the pitcher it says “positive”, “energetic”, “enthusiastic”.  Here’s an option that’s similar to the ones I used.
Returning to the tea making festivities:
So the water’s in the pitcher.  Then I put in the hibiscus flowers and you’ll notice those will start to color the water right away.  It starts to get really nice and pink then bright red. You want the flowers to steep in there for at least 15 minutes. Longer if you like.

Then you’ll strain the flowers out.  (You can use them again for something else: to make a hot tea, or some people make cookies or at the very least, you can compost them.)

Once you take the hibiscus flowers out then you can add in all the other ingredients and put it in the refrigerator.  Or go ahead and fill a glass with ice and pour it right over. Ready to drink & heal!

***NOTE: When you put the ginger in, it does cloud up a little bit.  You can also put fresh ginger in, it doesn’t need to be the powdered kind but if you want it to really mix in there, I like to use the powder for that.***

It’s really nice & refreshing.  It’s GORGEOUS, yummy + it’s  fun.

Let me know if you try it, I can’t wait to see what yours looks like (tag me on Instagram with #hibiscusmoon). I’d love to hear how you like it and if you get the energy + immune boosting effects from it and all of that. Tell me in the comments below!

Easy Gem Elixir! + Magical Mermaid Crystal Tea

Hibiscus Moon Gem Elixirs, mermaids 13 Comments

I decided to make this video b/c how I do gem elixirs has become HOT Crystal Topic as of late (lots questions coming in for this):

How to make a super-easy gem elixir to tote along with you…

Many of you have been asking me for more details on how I make my easy-peasy drinkable gem elixirs & the NEW water bottle I so enjoy using to do this.

I used to recommend other bottles & gadgets with more elaborate designs (some were drop-dead-plop-your-whole-paycheck-down-gorgeous) & definitely more beautiful to look at…but if you know me, I’m Ms. Practical.

So after using those other options for a while I let them keep falling away as, either I discovered something I didn’t like about them…OR I discovered more practical options that could better fit into my every day life. 😉

So as I explain in my above video, I simply choose a NON-TOXIC stone I want to work with (preferably one with a Mohs Hardness of 5 or more so it doesn’t slowly dissolve in the water) & plop it into the water in my new handy water bottle.

That’s it!

This is the water bottle I’ve been using as of late:

I then take the water I’ve infused the crystal energy  from my water bottle and use it for all sorts of other concoctions…like this Magical Mermaid Tea! Don’t you want to make some??? Come on. You know you wanna dazzle up your day mermaid style. It’s easy!

Magical Mermaid Tea Recipe
Ingredients

  • dried organic hibiscus flowers…of course!
  • dried organic rosehips

  • The water system I use to filter all our drinking water through is the Pristine Hydro System & I have more info on that here along with a scientific experiment I conducted on the effects of crystals + Pristine Hydro water on plant growth. Oh yes!

If you have other tips & tricks for working with gem elixirs that make it super easy…and FUN, please share in the comments below! I’d love to hear about it. And so would our entire Crystal Hottie Community!
