Are crystals trendy? Well…trendy is defined as “Very fashionable or up to date in style or influence.” Style and influence aren’t necessarily what we’re looking for concerning our crystals though is it? However, we can see that there is a very clear crystal trend forming. They’re in every home goods store you can think of I’ve seen uninspiring displays of healing bracelets in Target and even Walmart.

Even prominent YouTubers have started hopping on the crystal bandwagon lately. Beyond social media, you’ll even find companies like Goop (Gwyneth Paltrow’s company) displaying entire crystal sections. Robert Redford’s company Sundance also had a crystal gift set for a Mother’s Day promotion they were doing. So circling back to the overarching question is this good or bad? What kind of energy does this bring to the table? Also, we have to consider … because so many companies and influencers are inserting themselves into this space, we can expect an impact on the supply and demand of individual crystals.

The Positives of The Crystal Trend

There are indeed positives that this type of trend can bring. For example, it’s allowing the world of crystal healing to be more acceptable in the general publics eyes. I’m sure many of you have experienced people having a relatively closed mind on the subject of crystal healing in the past. I’ve had some students share stories about their families not quite understanding or accepting the inclusion of crystals in someone’s daily lifestyle.

So yes some people may be coming to crystals because of their favorite influencer or celebrity. However, they’re still connecting with a higher form of self regardless. Which is a beautiful thing, because crystals are subconscious influencers, and they help us create unity within our consciousness. Now that all being said crystals are still more impactful when there is an intention behind using them. You’re going to get the most significant result; you’re going to be squeezing out every bit of potential from those crystals when your intention is in alignment with the vibrational frequency of the crystals that you’re working with.

Perhaps another positive is this becoming a conversation starter for people. As a result of the emerging crystal trend, people naturally become more curious. They’re asking themselves, “do these things really work?” I see that exact question all the time on my YouTube videos, and from there they come over to my website and read a little bit more about it. Would this have happened otherwise if crystals weren’t such a trend at the moment?

The Science Behind Crystals

Now, keep in mind, I’m barely going to scratch the surface here. I go into much more detail on this subject in my Certified Crystal Healer Course. Our body has a dominant or average vibrational frequency. I say average because every one of our organs has a different vibrational frequency, so all added up and taken together. We have an average vibrational frequency, but it’s not very stable. The reason for this is we are not crystalline. We might be headed towards that in an evolutionary sense, but we are not predominantly crystalline.

Our bodies average vibrational frequency can also fluctuate as a result of everyday stress. Now, it’s important to realize that our entire universe, or the multiverse, is made up of pure energy and vibration. Everything in it, everything you can see, everything you cannot see, everything that science can measure, everything science cannot measure. Even your thoughts and emotions are made of pure energy and vibration. To help illustrate this allow me to reference a very popular formula created by the great Einstien. E=mc^2, the E stands for energy, M stands for matter, or mass, C squared is the speed of light. However, don’t get hung up just yet on what I refer to as “mathematical voodoo.” The point I want to illustrate here is that energy equals mass and vice versa.

Crystals and Their Unique Vibrational Frequency

So crystals are mass (or matter) which equals energy. What makes them different though compared to every other thing in the universe, is they have an exceptional kind of energy. Crystals, like the fluorite sphere I’m so fond are composed of a very special kind of energy. It is important to note however that a crystal has vibrations just like everything else does.  The more evolved the consciousness or the energetic amplitude of the vibrational frequency of a certain being or object, the more influential it is. Which means the more it will entrain the energy around it.

As I said earlier different forms of matter and energy vibrate at different vibrational frequencies. The different organs in our body have different vibrational frequencies. These different frequencies depend on lots of different variables. Now, a crystal has a very specific molecular composition. Those molecules establish the size of the crystal, the thickness of the crystal, and the color of the crystal.  When crystals are created specifically for use within a laboratory to be used for various electronics, it’s important to take into account the crystals specific vibrational frequency. So crystals are highly influential due to their highly ordered atomic structure.

Crystals are also very different from us because of the highly structured state they’re in. Even our universe is based on energetic tetrahedrons. Did you know that? Video game programmers or creators center their video game models on tetrahedrons.  The molecules of a crystal are arranged in a fixed repeating geometric pattern. Meaning they’re geometrically perfect and because of that they have the lowest possible state of disorganization. Crystals easily maintain their dominant vibrational frequency, unlike us. So the crystals have the unique ability to influence the energies around them in a very beneficial way.

Let me know in the comments below if you find the crystal trend to be negative or positive. Do you think it’s good to be able to find crystals in department stores? Or bad?  I would also love to hear your thoughts on the science behind crystals and their vibrational frequencies!

Crystal Blessings,
